Accounts and eligibility

Use accurate account information and only accounts you are entitled to use. Keep your login details private and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You can review and disconnect active sessions in the dashboard. You are not automatically responsible for activity caused by circumstances outside your control.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Chronicle game, create an account or use its dashboard and tests. This is our eligibility requirement, not an official age-rating certificate. Discord linking additionally requires eligibility under Discord's own terms and applicable law.

Current access and future paid offers

The game, dashboard and tests currently provided by us are free of charge. A free account or participation in a test does not create a payment obligation.

We may offer paid versions or features in the future. Any price, scope and applicable purchase conditions will be presented before you choose to buy. Free access will not automatically become a paid subscription, and no charge will be made without your separate agreement. Any mandatory consumer information and withdrawal rights will be provided for the relevant offer.

Using the game and dashboard

For the period of your authorized access, you may install and play the builds made available to you and use the dashboard for personal, non-commercial purposes. This permission is non-exclusive and does not transfer ownership of the game or its assets. Rights granted by mandatory law or applicable third-party and open-source licences remain unaffected.

Do not redistribute proprietary game files, sell access, impersonate another person, access other accounts without permission, disrupt the service, distribute malware, cheat in shared gameplay or exploit vulnerabilities to harm others. Lawful interoperability, security research and other uses protected by mandatory law are not prohibited by this clause. Please report vulnerabilities privately to our contact address.

Development builds and test access

Chronicle is in development. Builds identified as tests or previews may contain defects, unfinished features or temporary content. A test invitation applies to the test described in that invitation. Roadmaps describe current plans and do not, by themselves, promise a release date or a particular feature.

Test progress may be reset where this is part of the announced test conditions. Maintenance and security incidents can interrupt access. We will communicate planned material changes and resets where reasonably possible. These statements do not exclude statutory rights or override an express agreement about an offer.

Discord account connection

Connecting Discord is optional. It verifies control of a Discord identity and associates it with your Chronicle account. Linking does not itself grant playtest access, assign server roles or join a Discord server. You can disconnect the link under Account → Connections.

Discord is a separate service. Its terms and privacy policy apply to its services. These Chronicle terms are between you and Moon Labs UG (haftungsbeschränkt), not Discord. Chronicle is not endorsed by Discord, and these terms do not modify your agreement with Discord.

Community participation and feedback

Do not use the service to harass, threaten, discriminate against others, publish unlawful content or infringe another person's rights. Follow the rules of any community space you choose to join.

When sending feedback or bug reports, share only material you are entitled to provide and remove passwords and personal information that is not needed. You retain rights in your contributions. We may review the feedback you submit and use its ideas to improve Chronicle; this does not transfer ownership of your original content to us.

Restrictions and ending use

We may take proportionate measures against a material breach of these terms, misuse or a concrete security risk. Measures can include warnings or restricting affected functions or accounts. We will explain the reason and offer an opportunity to respond where reasonable, unless urgent protection or legal requirements prevent this. You can request a review through our contact address.

You may stop using the service and request account deletion by email. Disconnecting Discord only removes that link; it does not delete your Chronicle or Discord account. Statutory termination, refund and data-protection rights remain unaffected.

Statutory rights and liability

Your statutory rights apply. These terms do not exclude or limit liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Applicable consumer protections, rights concerning digital products and mandatory rights in your country remain unaffected.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains personal data processing, service providers, Discord linking and your rights. These terms do not replace that policy or constitute blanket consent to data processing.

Changes to these terms

We will identify and communicate proposed material changes before they apply where required by law. Where agreement is necessary, we will request it. Merely publishing revised terms or your silence does not constitute acceptance of a change to an existing agreement.
